Helpful Yoga Tips and Yoga Rule
Yoga is an ancient spiritual practice that came to us from India. It consists of eight stages affecting all aspects of human existence – from observing moral principles, working with the body and breathing to more subtle techniques of controlling the psyche mind and consciousness. In the modern world yoga is basically meant to work with the body. In the practice of asana – body postures – there are elements of other steps. This is what determines all the positive effects of yoga.
For the most effective and useful holding of yoga exercise complexes there are several very useful rules:
Rule number 1: Take food 2-4 hours before the practice (2 hours with easy eating, 3-4 hours with full body saturation).
Rule number 2: During the asanas (asana – sitting posture, static position of the body in the exercise complex), it is necessary to exclude water intake. After the asanas you can drink immediately.
Rule number 3: Before drinking a pranayama complex (pranayama – the vital energy management system – prana through special breathing exercises), it is not recommended to drink. After drinking, drinking is allowed immediately.
Rule number 4: In cases where during the exercise (asanas) the practitioner feels acute (dull) pain or other unpleasant sensations in the body, the performance should be immediately stopped. One of the main tenets of yoga is non-violence in relation to one’s own soul and body.
Rule number 5: If the next day after the practice, there are unpleasant sensations in the body, you need to massage, or other warming up soft exercises. Do not begin to perform asanas until such feelings go through.
Rule number 6: It is not allowed to perform asanas mechanically – simply because it is so necessary or so right. It is necessary to concentrate on their implementation, because the complex “spirit-physical body” is a very interrelated alliance. Performing asanas, and while thinking about something out of the way, you will never get to clear your mind of the thought “slag” imposed by everyday vanity.
Rule number 7: Do not worry and do not focus your attention on the fact that when carrying out asanas or after performing them in the body, there are some unusual sensations: tingling, itching, and baking of certain parts of the body. These are just side effects from the practice, they do not mean anything.
It is necessary to avoid places where alcohol is used, smoke, idle talk. Clothes should be made of natural materials and free enough to not impede movement.
When you decide on the place where you will be engaged proceed to its arrangement. First of all it is worth buying a special mat for yoga. Today there is an unlimited number of options on the market at any price and with different functions buy mats from natural rubber.
The choice of yoga style also depends on the goals that you pursue: look for the path to self-knowledge want to lose weight want to strengthen health etc.
